Kelly Clarkson Heads To SNL For A Third Time; Hopes To Play Christina Aguilera

Its so much fun, Kelly who was looking fabulous, sporting sexy, newly-cropped bangs told Access Hollywood during SNL rehearsals in NY on Thursday. Everybodys always so nice here and the cast is like a family, so its a really cool environment. The singer, whose fifth studio album, Stronger, is steadily climbing up the music charts, said she loves acting in skits, but doesnt believe shell be able to take part in any of the sketches this time around due to her out-of-state tour rehearsals. Im literally flying out tomorrow morning I have rehearsal in Connecticut, she told Access. Were starting my tour soon, so were literally flying in and out. If Kellys schedule were to miraculously allow the singer to appear in a sketch, shes prepared with an idea of who shed like to play fellow chart-topper/The Voice mentor Christina Aguilera. My skit I wanted to do was The Voice, she told Access, referencing the hit NBC reality singing competition. I wanted [Charles] to be on his knees and play Cee Lo [Green] and I wanted to be Christina. I just love that show, so I wanted to totally make fun of it, she added with a laugh. I make fun of things I like! While the 29-year-old whose love life is often the subject of media scrutiny hasnt yet found the man of her dreams, she still believes shell get married sooner rather than later. Its not like Jane Austen times I havent lost my glow or anything, hopefully! she laughed, when asked if her impending 3oth birthday was causing her to wonder if shed ever say I do. I come from a small town and everyone gets married real quick and has children and everything, and that was never my dream. Ive never been that kid I think maybe in the future. But I love my job right now. Until she finds her soulmate, Kelly who operates an animal rescue with her family says shes content with two her of her canine rescues, who keep her company on the road.
